Leadership

Some leaderships roles at my school is president, Vice President, secretary, and treasure. I would not try to take one of these roles. I would not try to take one of these roles because feel like I don’t have the responsibility to do a great job at being one of these roles. I feel that when I get to high school, I would have the responsibility to join the student council.

Week 6: My Passion

One of my passions is sports. I love sports. I love to watch sports and I love to play sports. My favorite sports to play and watch are baseball, basketball, and football. My favorite one of all is basketball. I like how sports keep you healthy and busy. You can also interact with people by playing sports. I like how my top three sports has to do with a lot of running. I also like how I can see my top three sports on television because you can learn new things about the sport that you did not know about that sport.

When I have free time, I would want to go outside and play a sport. I love to watch sports because they are exciting to watch especially professional sorts. It is a lot more exciting to watch the game live and in person. There are sports that I don’t know about that I would like to know about and might be fascinated by them. This is why I am passionate about sports and hope that you are as well.

Week 5: Memories

My favorite child hood memory was when I was eight years old. I was at a baseball game with my family and I was really excited to go. It was my first time being at a professional baseball game. The teams that were playing were the Dodgers and the Cardinals. I when I got to the game, I was really happy. When I was at the game I got a big hotdog called a Dodger Dog. It was really good and I had about 2 of them. After I was done eating them, I was back to watching the game.
I was really close to catching a foul ball in the stands. I had my glove in the air, ready to catch the ball, and then a guy that was a row back caught the ball while it was over my head still in the air. I was sad and the guy said he was sorry and gave me the ball and I was happy. The team I was rooting for which was the Dodgers had lost. I was still happy because I had a great time.

Catalina Field Trip

My favorite part of the field trip to Catalina was the the kayaking. I thought it was really fun. When I was kayaking and Jacob was my partner, he lost the paddle and had to jump in the ocean to get the paddle back. We had to do a challenge and we had to paddle in our kayak while standing up. The challenges were to stand up in the kayak, paddle on the kayak, switch places with your partner on the kayak, dance on the kayak, and if you didn’t fall into the water, you have to jump in the water. While we were attempting to do the challenge Jacob had fell into the ocean. We also saw a kelp forest. We saw two pelicans diving into the water. We also saw a sea lion fight with the pelicans to catch the same fish to eat it.

Week 4: A Picture is Worth

Today I watched a Creative Commons video and learned that computers are very useful. When you draw a picture on a computer, you can make a perfect copy. I also learned that without your permission, people are not allowed to share or change your work. Fair use counts as long as you don’t say you made the work if you didn’t make it. The law gives you full copyright on anything you make, and includes protection for pictures, drawings, videos, and stories. I also learned that if you allow people to share, change, or build upon your work they need to follow your Creative Commons license.

I also learned that a content is a document that states the freedoms and limitations that you apply to your work. If you want anyone to sell your work, you can put a noncommercial stamp on it so no one can sell it without your permission. If you let them sell your work, you can negotiate to share the profit that they make off your work.
